The sun seems to have forgotten what season it is, but that doesn’t mean you can’t party like its 25°C  outside. Show the weather who’s boss by getting outside for some good ol’ fashioned Victoria fun.

Taste: Victoria’s Festival of Food & Wine – Showcasing more than 100 BC wines and a variety of local cuisine prepared by top Vancouver Island chefs. THURSDAY to July 24. Visit for a detailed schedule of events.

Banzai Japan! – Exciting performances, sumo competitions and more, all to raise funds the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan. THURSDAY 7pm at the Victoria Event Centre (1415 Broad). $20. 250-208-4542.

Fun Day In The Park – Bring your family and friends and take in some amazing live entertainment. Bear Wear – The best-dressed teddy bears will be on display. Vote on your favourite bear by donation, place bids in a silent auction or just swing by to take a look at the frills and fur. Dinner & Dance for Guatemala – Join the Victoria Central America Support Committee and the Victoria FMLN Committee as we respond to the devastating flooding and subsequent lanslides that occured in Guatemala last summer. Provincial Legislature Menorah Lighting – The Jewish community marks the start of Chanukah by lighting the largest public Menorah at the front steps of the Provincial Legislature of British Columbia.
