The sun seems to have forgotten what season it is, but that doesn’t mean you can’t party like its 25°C  outside. Show the weather who’s boss by getting outside for some good ol’ fashioned Victoria fun.

Taste: Victoria’s Festival of Food & Wine – Showcasing more than 100 BC wines and a variety of local cuisine prepared by top Vancouver Island chefs. THURSDAY to July 24. Visit for a detailed schedule of events.

Fun Day In The Park – Bring your family and friends and take in some amazing live entertainment. Flame Oz is just one of the many acts that'll grace Victoria during The International Buskers Festival.

With the International Buskers Festival in town, there’s no shortage of entertainment in downtown Victoria this week.

Big, Wet, Mammal Day – Otters, mink, beaver and muskrats, they’re all animals that make their home in Swan Lake. Discover what it takes to be at home in a watery world. Bring your picnic blanket and an appetite for fun this week as Victoria heads outdoors.

Go Bananas Scavenger Hunt – Wear yellow and go bananas at your library with a scavenger hunt. Get ready to search the library for hidden clues and receive a sweet treat at the end. For ages 6-9. Registration required. THURSDAY 10:30-11:30am at the GVPL, Central Saanich Branch (1209 Clarke). Free.

Five Hole for Food – Bring a hockey stick and a good pair of running shoes, and join in playing some good, fun, safe hockey. Please bring food and cash donations to help the Victoria Mustard Seed Food Bank. FRIDAY noon-6pm at the Save-On-Foods Grocery Store parking lot (3500 Blanshard). Free.

Navigation on the High Seas – Join staff from the Maritime Museum of BC to get the inside scoop on using the quadrant, the sextant and the stars to sail around the world.
