Forest Fossicking
Join a CRD regional parks naturalist  as we poke through the park looking for all things small. THURSDAY 11am-12:30om at the Nature Center (Beaver Lake parking lot). Free. 250-478-3344, http://www.crd.bc.ca/parks.

Wild Crafting Walk – Bountiful berries, fragrant cedar trees, and slippery sea weeds – look beyond the beauty and discover the many uses and functions of these plants. FRIDAY 1-2:30pm at Witty’s Lagoon Nature Centre (Metchosin Road). 12+. Free. 250-478-3344.

Cougar Capers – Investigate the life of a cougar on this informative walk and talk with a CRD Regional Parks interpreter. SATURDAY 1-3pm at the Francis/King Nature House (off Munn Road). Free. 250.478.3344. http://www.crd.bc.ca/parks.

Fringekids Fest – With live entertainment, music, fringe faeries, craft activities, face-painting, a life-sized cardboard castle, and an inflatable bunny! Families are encouraged to bring new school supplies to donate to the Single Parent Resource Centre. SATURDAY 11am-4pm at Market Square (lower Johnson). Free.
